Ready for Her Video Series

The Ready for Her campaign, designed to encourage more women to run for office, has created videos that feature women who have been successful in undertaking a campaign and obtaining an elected position

Ask Her

Ask Her is an initiative committed to increasing the number of women running for Calgary City Council in the 2017 election, and is doing so by asking 20 women to run.  The Ask Her campaign is committed to supporting female candidates and volunteers with funding and capacity building.

Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM)

FCM’s program, the Diverse Voices for Change initiative, seeks to increase the number of women from diverse communities who are actively informed by, and engaged in, local government decision-making. 

Although not a new resource, it is still useful and pertinent to women looking for additional support for campaigning as well as tools and resources about women in government. Webinars can be found here

Equal Voice

Equal Voice is a national, bilingual, multi-partisan organization dedicated to electing more women to all levels of political office in Canada. Throughout the year, Equal Voice has been providing resources and events for women for the 2017 municipal election. You can access the website here for information on upcoming events.

The Ministry of Status of Women have prepared an election support page for those interested in running and have added the lens of supporting women.
