Register for the March 18-19 Municipal Inclusion Symposium
AUMA is pleased to partner with the Alberta Human Rights Commission to host a second Municipal Inclusion Symposium on March 18-19, 2019 in Calgary. The Symposium will provide an opportunity for municipal administrators to network, share, and learn about the initiatives that Alberta municipalities are taking to create organizations and communities that are more inclusive.
Day 1 will feature presentations by Alberta municipalities on the topics of:
- Building internal corporate support for inclusion initiatives
- Inclusive strategies to engage the community in local decision-making
- How to facilitate conversations about social exclusion
- How municipalities are using AUMA’s Measuring Inclusion Tool
Day 2 will feature an educational workshop by Not In Our Town, which will explore practices on how to challenge intolerance and use story-telling to inspire action.
