As the Communications Supervisor, you are responsible for offering a broad combination of strategic leadership and active involvement in the day-to-day operations of the division. The role will oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and marketing strategies, tactics, operational processes, tools and analytics. Focusing on key partnerships while working with stakeholders to provide corporate communications, marketing, media and public relations functions that align with the Town of High River Strategic Plan, brand and corporate identity.
You are a balanced leader who can adeptly drive multiple initiatives simultaneously. You will place a high importance on contributing to a positive culture which aligns with our ACE pillars, so each team member feels valued and empowered to fully contribute to the success of the division. You possess a successful track record as a strategic communicator and adept listener while advising a group of professionals. You are known as a relationship builder and possess a strong commitment to the communications profession, colleagues and community.
To be successful you will have a post-secondary degree in communications, public relations or related field. To complement your education, you will have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in more progressively responsible leadership roles. In addition, your experience will include the practice of web and CP news styles. Previous experience in a municipal setting is considered an asset.
