Job Description : 

The Town of Assiniboia, the regional hub of south central Saskatchewan with over 2400 people, is seeking a qualified Director of Operations to drive the vision of Council forward and lead their Operations Division.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director is responsible for the overall planning, budget control, coordination and implementation of all activities and business affairs of the Transportation, Utilities, Waste Management, Parks and Open Spaces, Recreation Facilities and Planning and Development Engineering functions.

With a Civil Engineering Technologist diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of five (5) years municipal management experience (equivalencies will be considered), proven organization and time management skills plus being a recognized leader with your staff, you will be expected to play the primary role in establishing division policy and service standards and providing public works expertise and advise to Council.

You should also possess skills in public communication, emergency management, community planning and working with property developers plus be able to coordinate a structured civic buildings, grounds and recreation facilities maintenance management program that works.

Certification in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Waste Water Collection & Treatment, would be considered an asset.
