This department collaborates closely with the elected officials and the CAO supplying corporate, legal, and legislative services, helping to ensure Olds continues to be a prospering community committed to creating connections for the future.
The Town of Olds invites applications for the full-time position of Executive Support – CAO & Council. This position provides key administrative support for the CAO & Council, by preparing correspondence, organizing, and keeping track of the schedules of both, the CAO, and members of Council, and ensures they have the needed information in preparation for these meetings. This position also keeps an Action Item list based on the results of meetings the CAO and members of Council attend. The Executive Support is the first point of contact and will provide information for individuals or groups wanting to interact (meet) with the CAO or members of Council. This position provides backup to the Legislative Clerk in the preparation and distribution of council agendas and may take minutes at council meetings.
Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent, diploma in Office Administration or related and 5 years related experience in an Executive Support or Administrative Assistant role. The candidate should have advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro would be an asset. Previous experience working in a municipal setting would also be an asset.
Compensation is based on a 37.5-hour work week and includes benefits.
