$100,737.00 - $125,925.80

If we’ve caught your attention, you should know that we’re currently recruiting for a permanent Manager, Current Planning to provide support to our fast growing city!

Reporting to the Director, Planning and Development, this position also takes direction from the General Manager, Infrastructure and Planning. The Manager, Current Planning performs approvals for development within the City of Leduc and oversees approvals for subdivisions; ensuring good planning practices and City policies are maintained and adhered to resulting in a well-planned vibrant community. This position assists the department staff and confers with the engineering, fire, community services finance and legal departments and provides external assistance to the public, builders and developers. The successful candidate will balance the complexity of handling a large volume of work efficiently and effectively while supervising and mentoring staff and being very knowledgeable of the MGA and legal documents pertaining to current planning.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five-years’ of relevant experience with a degree in planning or a closely related field and three-years’ of supervisory experience or a minimum of seven-years’ of relevant experience with a Land Use Planning Certificate/Diploma and three-years’ of supervisory experience.
