Why work for the Town of Canmore? Our arenas are a hub in the community - a place where people come together to have fun, cheer, train, volunteer for local hockey and skating teams, and engage in a civil (or not so much) game of shinny or recreational hockey. Children learn to skate here, how to work with a team and have fun while they’re at it. And sometimes, future Olympians grow here. The Town of Canmore is committed to providing residents, athletes, and visitors to our community with an exceptional arena experience and by joining our team you will make this possible.
Position Overview: The Supervisor of Recreation Centre Operations oversees the operational staff at the Canmore Recreation Centre and ensures that they are a high-functioning and motivated team, delivering exceptional service to users and visitors of the facility. This supervisor works collaboratively with a number of other Town staff and leaders in order to provide consistent service, clear standards, critical communication, fair scheduling practices and contribute to the Town`s overall goals and vision around arena usage, recreation, community events, meeting spaces and high quality facility maintenance. Shifts may be required any day of the week, throughout the year and may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
