On October 24, 2019, the Government of Alberta released its budget for the 2019-20 fiscal year. The next day, AUMA hosted a webinar to report on our preliminary analysis of the budget and its impact on Alberta’s municipal governments and communities.
During the webinar, participants posed a variety of questions that AUMA was unable to answer given the information we had, and we committed to follow up with the Government of Alberta to obtain answers to those questions. We are now pleased to release our report, Questions and Answers on Alberta’s 2019-20 Budget, which outlines responses from each government ministry, as well as AUMA’s own findings following additional time to research the issues.
Note that AUMA has yet to receive responses from all ministries. We will update the report as additional responses are received from the province and AUMA will track the list of updates on AUMA’s Budget 2019 webpage, where you can also view AUMA’s Preliminary Report on the Government of Alberta’s 2019 Budget.
