Are you passionate about ending racism? Join the province’s Anti-Racism Advisory Council

The Government of Alberta is seeking up to 25 people to join a new Anti-Racism Advisory Council that will advise the Minister of Education on how to combat racism and implement the new anti-racism initiatives being rolled out as part of the ‘Taking Action Against Racism’ report.

Through our Welcoming and Inclusive Communities initiative, AUMA is keenly aware that many municipal elected officials and administrators are taking active steps to overcome issues of racism and social exclusion at the local level. AUMA encourages those leaders to consider applying for the Anti-Racism Advisory Council to ensure that Alberta benefits from the unique knowledge that municipal leaders bring to the table.

Details of the public recruiting process is available on the Anti-Racism Advisory Council website. Deadline to apply is September 15, 2018.
