The Canadian Public Health Association, in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS), recently hosted a webinar to present findings from a research on cannabis edibles, extracts, and topicals. This webinar provides an overview of the different types of cannabis products that will become legal this fall, data on cannabis consumption patterns, and the experiences of other jurisdictions with these types of products, as well as with cannabis cafes.
The Government of Canada has tabled changes to the existing cannabis regulations to address the public health and safety risks related to these cannabis products. Public consultation on the proposed changes opened on December 20, 2018, and closed on February 20, 2019.
Visit the cannabis page on AUMA’s website to view our submission on the regulations, and for more cannabis-related resources.
