For those who have the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) in their benefits plan, we are pleased to announce we have negotiated with our partner, Shepell, to provide a rate reduction on our unlimited program, while enhancing the service.
Our rate will be reduced by approximately 16%, from $5.23 to $4.39 per month, per employee, effective June 1, 2020.
Additionally, we have enhanced our EFAP to provide more workplace supports:
- The Workplace Referral Program provides a way for employers to refer for professional assessment and counselling an employee whose poor performance is related to substance abuse, addictions, or emotional issues. The program is an important alternative to employee-initiated EFAP counselling, providing more intensive and specialized intervention.
- The Trauma Response Service supports both management and employees affected by traumatic events. The Trauma Services department is available on a 24-hour basis and uses a network of specially trained counsellors who can respond immediately.
We are delighted to be bringing you these enhanced services at a lower premium, helping you achieve more for less.
