The early bird registration deadline for the September 19-22 Walk21 conference in Calgary ends on July 31. Register now, before prices go up on August 1!
Walk21 Calgary will examine how walking fosters healthy and vibrant communities, and can encourage municipalities to become more resilient and sustainable in the wake of rapid urban growth. Citizens, academics, urban planners, health care professionals, and community leaders are invited to join in discussions and design Alberta’s urban walkable futures.
The Walk21 Calgary conference program features keynote and plenary sessions, symposia, breakout presentations, and “walkshops” in downtown and suburban Calgary. Delegates will experience Calgary’s emerging walkability, and be exposed to new ideas about how walking can connect people and communities. Attendees will reflect on the lessons of the past, create new knowledge, and examine social dynamics to build momentum for the new walking municipality.
