Although not an official part of the AUMA Convention and AMSC Tradeshow, we do like to share information with our members about opportunities to meet with government. All inquiries regarding the following should be directed to the respective contact person for the ministry or agency.
Municipal Affairs – Grants and Education Property Tax
Municipal Affairs grant program staff will be available to discuss the Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI) program, the Alberta Community Partnership (ACP) program, the administration of the federal Gas Tax Fund (GTF), and the Small Communities Fund (SCF) as well as any other ministry grant related questions during the Fall AUMA convention in Calgary. Please note these meetings are intended for administrative officers and staff since the objective is to discuss topics that are programmatic and administrative in nature (e.g. MSI program, ACP program, etc.). A boardroom will be available at Le Germain Hotel Calgary (899, Centre Street SW) for one-on-one meetings on November 22 and 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If municipalities wish to arrange a meeting with a member of the Municipal Affairs grant staff, please contact Carol Klassen, toll-free by dialing 310-0000, then 780-422-8051 or by email at email@example.com by November 17, 2017.
