October 2 deadline for anti-discrimination funding for non-profit organizations

August 30, 2017

The Alberta Human Rights Commission offers funding to non-profit organizations and public institutions to help create inclusive communities. The Human Rights Project grant supports community projects that help reduce discrimination towards Indigenous people, immigrants, racialized groups, religious minorities, gender and sexual minority groups and persons with disabilities. The deadline to apply is October 2, 2017.

As noted in a recent Digest article, municipal governments can access similar funding through the Alberta Human Rights Commission’s Community Inclusion grant. The deadline to apply for the Community Inclusion grant is September 15, 2017.
