REMINDER – Deadline approaching for 2019 AUMA Award nominations!

Don’t miss the opportunity to nominate a municipal leader in your community for a 2019 AUMA Award!  Award nominations must be submitted by June 28, 2019.

AUMA’s Awards recognize individuals and teams who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities.

Eligible nominees must be from a current or past regular member municipality. For more information on each award, and to download the nomination forms, visit the AUMA awards webpage.

The following awards will be presented during the 2019 AUMA Convention:

Distinguished Service Award: Nominate an elected official who has served 20 or more years on municipal council.   

Award of Excellence: Nominate an elected official with outstanding civic leadership by present and past who has held office for at least three years in Alberta.

Dedicated Chief Administrative Officer Award: Recognizes long-term excellence and dedication to municipal government and chief administrative management (co-sponsored by the Society of Local Government Managers).

Dedicated Senior Municipal Team Award: Acknowledging long term excellence and dedication to municipal government management as a team (co-sponsored by the Society of Local Government Managers).

Municipal Sustainability – Sustainability in Action Award: Awarded to an AUMA member that has demonstrated excellence in implementing sustainability plans and achieving measurable outcomes related to economic sustainability.

Municipal Sustainability – Sustainability in Collaboration Award: Awarded to a group of two or more municipalities, which have demonstrated excellence in collaboratively implementing sustainability initiative(s) and achieving measurable outcomes related to economic sustainability.

Municipal Sustainability – Above and Beyond Award: Recognizing staff, residents or other organizations who have played a significant role in implementing a municipality’s sustainability plan and achieving the community’s goals related to economic sustainability.
