September 15 deadline to apply for inclusion project funding

June 28, 2017

Municipalities can access up to $10,000 in funding from the Alberta Human Rights Commission to lead initiatives that eliminate racism and discrimination. The Community Inclusion Grant program supports municipalities, or a partner organization, to advance strategies associated with being a welcoming and inclusive community or a signatory to the Canadian Coalition of Municipalities Against Racism and Discrimination.

The application deadline is September 15, 2017.

The AUMA website offers a variety of resources on how to become a more welcoming and inclusive community and members may contact the AUMA for guidance on ideas and strategies for an application.
