Volunteers… Share their stories - Inspire Others!

Submitted by Alberta Culture and Tourism

Across the province, ordinary people are doing extraordinary things that make our communities the kind of vibrant, welcoming places in which we can all take pride. These people are Alberta volunteers - friends and neighbours from teens to seniors whose generous contributions of time and talent make life better for Albertans.

Over the years, we have heard thousands of incredible stories of the compassion and dedication of Alberta volunteers. We know there are so many more waiting to be told. Tell us the one about the remarkable volunteer in your community!

Nominate them for the 2018 Stars of Alberta Volunteer Award and share their stories!

The Stars of Alberta Volunteer Awards program celebrates Alberta’s outstanding volunteers and recognizes the value and vital contributions they make to the vibrancy, diversity and strength of our communities.

Awards will be presented in three categories of youth, adult, and senior in a special ceremony at Government House in Edmonton on International Volunteer Day, December 5.

Detailed information on the Stars of Alberta Volunteer Awards program can be found online at https://www.alberta.ca/stars-alberta-volunteer-awards.aspx/. The deadline for nominations is September 21, 2018.
